Holy Spirit Parent Teacher Organization (PTO)

We are looking forward to an exciting, fun and event-filled year and invite you to be a part of it as we work diligently to strengthen the partnership between our parents and teachers to have the greatest impact on your child’s education. Please review our PTO Volunteer Opportunities for all activities and events; there are lots of ways you can get involved and we hope you will consider volunteering your God-given strengths and talents to contribute to your child’s school experience. We believe a strong partnership with you will make all the difference to your student’s success. As partners, we share responsibility and want you to know that we will do our very best to carry out our responsibilities as well. Let us know how we can better serve you.

PTO Hosted Events

Trash Bag Sale

Three tied plastic trash bags in blue, yellow, and white against a white background.

We sell trash bags in various sizes. This is one of our most profitable and popular fundraisers of the year! Volunteers are needed to help sell bags and to distribute bags on pick-up day.

Harvest Hoedown

Three children pose together outdoors, with one wearing a Spiderman bicycle helmet.

This event promises an enjoyable autumn evening for families and school friends alike. Join us for activities such as Trunk or Treat, pony rides, petting zoo, haunted house, face painting, pumpkin carving contest, games, and more. This is just one of many opportunities for parents and guardians to not only participate but also to help organize and manage the event.

Day of the Dead

A boy and girl smile in front of a colorful backdrop for Day of the Dead.

Holy Spirit students and staff honor those who have passed away by exploring the rich culture of the Day of the Dead (Día de los Muertos). This vibrant celebration allows the community to reflect on departed loved ones, and Holy Spirit School incorporates it into the curriculum, providing students with meaningful activities to deepen their understanding of the tradition.

Breakfast with Santa

A child sits on a bench next to Santa Claus, who is waving near a decorated Christmas tree.

Join us for a fun-filled day where families can come together and meet Santa Claus! Enjoy breakfast, engage in arts and crafts, and much more. Parents and guardians are welcome to participate in the festivities and are also encouraged to assist in coordinating the event.

Scholastic Book Fair

Two people stand smiling together in a brightly lit bookstore, holding up books.

The Scholastic Book Fair makes its annual visit to Holy Spirit the same week as our Special Persons Day. During this exciting event, families and students at Holy Spirit have the chance to purchase books to enrich their home libraries. The fair not only promotes literacy but also fosters a love for reading among students of all ages.

PTO Skating Parties

A smiling woman and a young child hold onto a skating walker at an indoor roller rink.

Skating parties take place at the Roller Cave from 6:30 to 8:30 PM. There are a total of six parties held each year. Both students and parents come together to skate and socialize. Your participation helps raise funds for the PTO!

Special Persons Day

A family in colourful wigs and funny glasses poses in front of a red and white circus-themed backdrop.

This day is dedicated to honoring a significant person in your student’s life. The special guest can enjoy light snacks, participate in activities, and visit the classroom. The Special Persons event is designed for our transition grades, which include Kindergarten, fourth grade, and eighth grade. Additionally, this occasion offers another opportunity for parents and family members to help plan and organize the event.

Mother Son Jam

A large group of people gather in a dimly lit room with glowing lights and white clothing.

A wonderful opportunity for mothers and their sons to dance, enjoy games, and create lasting memories together. This presents a wonderful opportunity for our students to bond with the maternal figures in their lives. This also provides another chance for parents and family members to assist in planning and organizing an event.

Madri Gras

A teacher stands between two students who are shaking hands warmly indoors.

As we get ready for Lent, our Holy Spirit students and staff come together to celebrate Mardi Gras. The Mardi Gras celebration at Holy Spirit School is not just a day of fun and festivities; it's a meaningful way to connect with our faith and each other. By combining joy and reflection, we create a harmonious balance that enriches our spiritual journey and strengthens our community bonds.

Father Daughter Dance

Two children stand next to a decorative sign post against a turquoise backdrop.

This evening promises to be a delightful occasion filled with dress-up and dancing, designed for girls and their fathers. It’s a wonderful time for students to bond with the father figures in their lives. This also provides another chance for parents and family members to assist in planning and organizing an event.

Professional Development

Three people stand around a table in a brightly lit room, looking down at a large piece of paper.

Holy Spirit PTO supports the ongoing, embedded professional development of our teachers. Our fundraising goal focuses on supporting the professional development of our staff, specifically as it relates to Mission/ Catholic Identity. For example, Ram Run 2026 allowed us to raise funds that will help us send at least two teachers to the Ron Clark Academy to enhance thier embodiment of the House System.

Teacher Appreciation Week

Five smiling women pose together indoors, holding photo props and school-themed signs.

Throughout this week, we celebrate the dedication, passion, and hard work of our Holy Spirit teachers and staff who inspire and guide our students every day. Additionally, this occasion offers another opportunity for parents and family members to help plan and organize soemthing special for our teachers and staff.
